In the design of the conceptual wall light CUTS I explored the contraposition of open and hidden spaces. The feeling of bare cut open shape created by 4 modules attracts an eye. And the light that goes from inside accentuates it a little more and adds mystery. The design of this light applies to the works of the famous italian painter Lucio Fontana, the founder of the artistic movement Spacialism. Provocation based on the contrast of shapr and rough cuted in the center wall light with the overall softness and smooth silhouette associatively sends us to Fontanas works.
CUTS lamp received DESIGN & DESIGN Award 2014 and will be published in a book DESIGN & DESIGN 2014.
